Terms and Conditions

Upon purchasing any gift vouchers and experiences the following terms/special conditions are applicable to all purchases and relate to each individual product/service/experience. Please ensure you read them carefully before purchasing.

V8SS COMMODORE RIDES (as a passenger):

1. BOOKINGS ARE ESSENTIAL for this and all activities as spaces are limited
2. Price is per person as 1 of 3 passengers in the vehicle
3. Passengers must sign a HTDC indemnity form before riding in the vehicles, if under the age of 18 years a guardian or parent must be present to sign the indemnity form.
4. Passengers must be wearing closed-in shoes for safety regulations
5. Race suit and helmet not provided or required for this experience
6. Not suitable for pregnant women or anyone with certain medical conditions. It is the participant’s responsibility to check with their medical practitioner as to whether the medical condition affects your ability to undertake this experience.
7. The front seat is not guaranteed
8. To guarantee the front seat you would need to purchase all 3 seats in the vehicle
9. Gift vouchers are subject to booking availability and all other relevant terms and conditions.

 

V8SS COMODORE RIDES ‘HOTLAPS’

1. Passengers must be a minimum age of 10 years.
2. Passengers receive 4 laps of the Norwell track

 

V8 SUPERSCHOOL RIDES (as a passenger):

1. BOOKINGS ARE ESSENTIAL for this and all activities as spaces are limited
2. Passengers must be a minimum age of 14 years.
3. Price is per person as 1 of 3 passengers in the vehicle
4. Passenger Height and weight restrictions apply - Drivers must; be under approximately 6 feet 4 inches and must weigh no more than approximately 110kg due to safety issues.
5. Passengers must be wearing closed-in shoes for safety regulations
6. Race suit and helmet provided for ‘V8 Superschool’ experiences
7. All Rides are conducted at ‘V8 Superschool’ track, Norwell, QLD
8. Passengers must sign a HTDC indemnity form before riding in the vehicles, if under the age of 18 years a guardian or parent must be present to sign the indemnity form.
9. Passengers must have a zero blood alcohol level and not be under the influence of any substances i.e. illegal substances /drugs and certain prescription medications.
10. Not suitable for pregnant women or anyone with certain medical conditions. It is the participant’s responsibility to check with their medical practitioner as to whether the medical condition affects your ability to undertake this experience.
11. The front seat is not guaranteed
12. To guarantee the front seat you would need to purchase all 3 seats in the vehicle
13. Gift vouchers are subject to booking availability and all other relevant terms and conditions.

 

V8 SUPERSCHOOL ‘RIDES’

1. Includes Certificate on Completion
2. Lap timing or Briefing not included
3. You must nominate your vehicle of choice (Holden/Ford) at the time of booking

 

V8 SUPERSCHOOL ‘RIDES’ WITH RUSSELL INGALL, PAUL MORRIS or TIM SLADE

1. Rides are subject to driver availability, racing schedules and calendar.
2. The driver is determined on the day subject to who is available on the day. There is no guarantee that your preferred driver will conduct the ride. Driver will be one of the 3 drivers indicated above.
3. Rides conducted in ‘Holden’ vehicles only
4. Includes Certificate on Completion
5. Lap timing or Drivers Briefing not included

 

V8 SUPERSCHOOL DRIVES (as a driver):

1. BOOKINGS ARE ESSENTIAL for this and all activities as spaces are limited
2. Price is per person
3. Drivers must hold a current manual drivers licence (provisional licence and International licences accepted) Licence’s in a language other than English, must be accompanied by an English translation.
4. Race suit and helmet provided for the experience
5. Drivers must be wearing closed-in shoes for safety regulations
6. Height and weight restrictions apply - Drivers must; be under approximately 6 feet 4 inches and must weigh no more than approximately 110kg due to safety issues.
7. Drivers must have a zero blood alcohol level and not be under the influence of any substances i.e. i.e. illegal substances /drugs and certain prescription medications.

V8 SUPERSCHOOL ‘6 LAP TEST DRIVE’

1. Includes Certificate on Completion

V8 SUPERSCHOOL ‘12 LAP V8 ROOKIE PROGRAM’

1. Includes Certificate on Completion
2. Participants drive a total of 12 Laps (3 x 4 lap sessions – last session timed)
3. Fastest Lap timing & Drivers Briefing included
4. You must nominate your vehicle of choice (Holden/Ford) at the time of booking

 

V8 SUPERSCHOOL ‘15 LAP V8 PRO PROGRAM’

1. Includes Certificate on Completion
2. Participants drive a total of 15 Laps (3 x 5 lap sessions)
3. Fastest Lap timing & Drivers Briefing included
4. Motec Data Logger printout included
5. You must nominate your vehicle of choice (Holden/Ford) at the time of booking

 

 

Terms & Conditions for Event Bookings

On booking:

• To secure event date a 50% deposit is required within 7 working days from date of invoice.
• Final/Full payment is due 2 weeks prior event date
• All event details must be finalised 2 weeks before event date along with final payment.

Cancellation:

• Cancellation 2 weeks prior event date – full deposit refund
• Cancellation 1 week prior event date – 5% administration fee charge (on deposit amount).
• Cancellation 48 hours prior event date – 15% fee charge (on full event cost).
• Cancellation 24 hours or less – non-refund of full deposit amount.

Important information

• HPDC has fully trained first aid staff on site at all times
• Several first aid stations located at designated sites
• All vehicles are equipped with fire extinguishers
• Fire extinguishers and hoses at designated sites and staff trained to use them.
• Evacuation strategies in place
• Hospitals and medical facilities within 20-30km – 15-20minutes travel time
• In an emergency there is plenty of access for landing of a helicopter.
  
  

General Terms and Conditions
In addition to the individual terms/special conditions that relate to each individual product/service/experience, the following general terms and conditions apply to al purchases.

• Payment methods accepted are: Credit Card (Visa & Mastercard only), bank deposit & cash in person
  
  
• Activities run 7 days per week excluding public holidays (please ask for details) and are subject to availability
  
  
• Office hours however are Monday to Friday 8.00am to 5.00pm (Queensland Time)
  
  
• When making payments via credit card the payment will be displayed as Drivesafe Pty Ltd please check your statement
  
  
• Gift Voucher and Experience Purchases are not redeemable for cash.
  
  
• Gift Vouchers cannot be exchanged for other experiences at a later date any request for changes must be notified to V8 SUPERSCHOOL within 24 hours of purchase.*
  
  
• Gift Vouchers are fully transferable and can be purchased for a particular person (if known at the time of purchase) or if the recipient is unknown (at the time of purchase) Gift Vouchers will be made out to ‘The Bearer’.
  
  
• Once issued no name changes can be made to the Gift Vouchers(s) without incurring a 15% administration charge.
  
  
• Multiple Gift Vouchers can be purchased for groups, businesses and corporate purposes, in these cases individual vouchers or one group voucher can be issued - please ask for details prior to purchasing.
  
  
• All driving experiences require the participant to hold a Current Valid Manual Driver’s licence and the participant MUST produce their drivers licence on arrival at V8 SUPERSCHOOL. Licence’s in a language other than English, must be accompanied by an English translation.
  
  
• The V8 SUPERSCHOOL reserves right to refuse any person whose behaviour is deemed as inappropriate (including not listening or following instruction) or who appears to be under the influence of any substances (illegal or other). If deemed necessary The V8 SUPERSCHOOL reserves the right to request that the participant take a breathalyser test prior to undergoing the experience(s).
  
  
• All participants (applicable to all experiences) will be required to complete an indemnity form on arrival and provide proof of identity if requested. Proof of identity accepted; 1 x photo ID (Drivers Licence, photo ID card for under 18’s) 1 x non photo ID (Medicare Card, Bank Card or Credit Card). Parent(s) or guardian(s) must sign on behalf of anyone under the age of 16 years old.
  
  
• The V8 SUPERSCHOOL Terms and Conditions and Booking Terms and Conditions apply to all vouchers and experiences – if you have any questions/queries please refer to the website description or contact The V8 SUPERSCHOOL before purchasing.
  
  

Bookings and Availability

• BOOKINGS ARE ESSENTIAL for all experiences. Bookings must be made by calling ‘The V8 SUPERSCHOOL’ to check for dates, times and availability. Details on how to book are printed on all our gift vouchers with instructions on what to do next.
  
  
• Purchase of a gift voucher does not guarantee that your chosen or preferred date will be available. Bookings are subject to availability.
  
  
• The V8 SUPERSCHOOL and its staff will however try to accommodate your chosen date(s) where available.
  
  

Duration and Expiry

• Gift Vouchers are valid for up to 6 months from date of issue.
  
  
• Vouchers must be booked in within 6 months of purchase/date of issue- no extensions beyond this date will be granted.
  
  
• After 6 months has lapsed from date of issue the voucher will become null and void.
  
  
• If you are unsure of the expiry date of your voucher contact V8 SUPERSCHOOL for information please note that proof of identity and other information given at time of purchase will be required for security and privacy reasons.
  
  

Refunds

• Neither the beneficiary of the gift voucher, nor the purchaser shall be entitled to a refund once a gift voucher has been issued.
  
  
• Refunds are only applicable where the purchaser contacts V8 SUPERSCHOOL within 24 hours of purchase, giving notification to V8 SUPERSCHOOL via email or telephone that there has been an error at the time of purchase and they wish to receive a refund.
  
  
• Refunds will not be granted under any other circumstances except where V8 SUPERSCHOOL management feel that a refund is warranted. These cases will be dealt with at the V8 SUPERSCHOOL management’s discretion.
  
  

Cancellation of Bookings

• Any alterations or cancellations to bookings and dates MUST be done with The V8 SUPERSCHOOL.
  
  
• Once you have booked the experience(s)/redeemed the gift voucher(s):– Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice or failure to attend without notification 24 hours prior to the booking will deem the voucher null and void and it cannot be re-booked/re-used.
  
  
• Should you wish to change the booking date you may do so as long as you; Give at least 24 hours notice and make no more than 2 changes.
  
  

Damaged, Lost or Stolen Gift Voucher(s)

• Please keep your voucher and proof of purchase in a safe place. The purchaser, or, beneficiary of the gift voucher (whichever is applicable) will need to produce the original voucher to participate in the chosen activity. No Voucher = No Attendance!
  
  
• Therefore in the event of the Voucher(s) being damaged beyond recognition, lost or stolen, it is the purchaser(s) and beneficiary(s) responsibility to notify V8 SUPERSCHOOL immediately. Failure to notify V8 SUPERSCHOOL could result in your voucher being rejected, deemed as invalid, null and void.
  
  
• It is further the purchaser(s) and beneficiary(s) responsibility to report to the relevant authorities any criminal activity or loss separately to that Authority. By reporting the voucher(s) to V8 SUPERSCHOOL does not cover you legally and V8 SUPERSCHOOL accepts no responsibility or liability as a result of any such criminal activity. V8 SUPERSCHOOL will only deal with the gift voucher report and make a decision accordingly separate from any other incidents and or reporting which do not concern V8 SUPERSCHOOL.
  
  
• Upon reporting the damaged, lost or stolen voucher(s), V8 SUPERSCHOOL may require you to provide proof of purchase or proof of identity and the damaged, lost or stolen gift voucher(s) will be cancelled on the spot.
  
  
• Once purchaser(s) identity has been established, all other terms and conditions have been checked and  V8 SUPERSCHOOL are satisfied and only then, will replacement voucher(s) be re-issued featuring the original date of issue. Original expiry date and all other terms and conditions will apply to the replacement voucher(s), no extension of expiry date will be permitted.
  
  

Original Vouchers - will only be accepted by ‘The V8 SUPERSCHOOL’

• The original gift voucher sent after purchase MUST be kept in a safe place by the purchaser or beneficiary (as applicable) as it will be required at the time of attendance to undergo any activities.
  
  
• The original voucher MUST be presented to V8 SUPERSCHOOL staff on arrival. The original voucher will be taken from the participant and kept on record.
  
  
• Failure to present or hand over the original voucher to V8 SUPERSCHOOL will result in the person(s) not being able to do the activity and being refused entry.
  
  
• You MUST present the original voucher(s) - it is an authenticated original and copies, faxed versions, defaced or damaged versions will not be accepted. (Refer to damaged, lost and stolen vouchers for instructions on what to do in these instances)
  
  
  

Disputes and Refusal of Vouchers and Entry

• Further to the above ‘Only Original Vouchers’ terms and conditions; The V8 SUPERSCHOOL and its staff reserve the right to refuse any voucher which they deem as defaced, damaged, suspicious or not an original voucher.
  
  
• The V8 SUPERSCHOOL staff will report any of these instances to management for further investigation and await instruction.  In the meantime the voucher holder(s) will not be able to undertake any activities until V8 SUPERSCHOOL management have investigated any such cases further and provided V8 SUPERSCHOOL staff with further instructions and their decision.
